Attendance

Attendance requirements:

1. Absences: Please call Ms. Rohe in the Health Office at 552-5026 first thing in the morning in the event your child will be absent or tardy from school. If a call is not received the nurse will attempt to reach a parent to verify your child's absence. The school district also requires that the child bring a written excuse, signed by the parent or guardian, explaining the reason for any absence to school the day of his/her return. If no call/note is received the absence will be marked as illegal. Remember: if your child is ill they need to stay home from school (fever, vomiting, diarrhea, bad cough, green/yellow nasal discharge, earache, pinkeye, rash, etc)

2. Early dismissal notes should be dropped off at the health office prior to first period. Students will receive an Early Dismissal Slip from the nurse which they are to present to their teacher at time of dismissal. Parents should report to the main office to sign out their child.

3. Late arrival: If your child arrives late to school during first period they are to report directly to their first period class. If they have a note they are to give it to their first period teacher and they will send it down to the nurse. If your child arrives after first period they are to sign in with the school nurse. Remember: please call the school nurse if your child is going to be late and provide a written note explaining the reason for their tardiness.
